Anniversary

Though I updated and changed my blogspot today, it's maybe due to the fact that I felt like doing something extreme, or different, or new...

After I finished playing around with my site, Lucille stopped by.

She was dressed in black and smiled at me softly. It was strange when my sister wasn't shouting around, delighted, looking for her next male victims, designing clothing... seeing her calmed, standing straight meant something was up. Then again, I had also finished wearing my black suit and matching tie. For a brief second we faced each other and then I hugged her tenderly. I placed my arm around her shoulders and we started walking in the hallway.

As we exited the school, another figure caught up to us.

Leonardo was as somber as we were. He gave Lucy a soft smile. She walked towards him and wrapped her arms around him.

"So..." he looked at me "We're going to mass, right?"

I nodded. "I'll go visit his grave later, but that's just me. Unless one of you wants to come with me in Celine."

Lucy shook her head. "I'd go, but I don't really like flying, Eric."

"I could go with you." Leo stared. "But I don't know why you even offer. I know you prefer to be alone."

True. When it was about going to visit Grandpa's remains... I guess I didn't want anyone seeing me in those moments.

"It's been three years, huh?" Lucille started walking ahead of us.

"I've missed him." Leo smiled. "Even though he was going to kill me when he found out I wanted to do medicine, at least he didn't kick me out of the family."

While we walked outside (we had permission), both Carol and Ashley appeared from nowhere. They were dressed accordingly too. Caroline was holding her cousin's arm, Ash looked like she'd just woken up and had been forced to wear the black clothing, though I knew quite well she liked the color.

"What are you two doing here?" Lucy's face brightened significantly.

"We've been friends since very little and we knew Norbert quite well." Carol said matter of factly. "How could we not accompany you?"

"Oh! Caroline!" Lucy and Carol hugged each other.

I stared at Ashley. "She forced you to come?" I couldn't help but smile.

She shook her head. "No. It's just that I was finally taking a break when she appeared out of nowhere with all these accesories... Regardless of that, you know you can count on us. Though I know you don't like... these moments."

I placed my hand on her head. "It's okay, Ash. I appreciate both of you coming."

Her green eyes pierced me. She looked at me strangely, like she always did when I was this serious, when life seemed to have been sucked out of my very core.

"I said it's okay." I repeated, and she nodded.

Afterwards all five of us took off. I guess, we had company... but right now... it felt awfully lonely.
