Accidents

Whao. The weekend aftermath has been more shocking than the actual weekend:

1. Giovanni and Rudyard had a car accident.

2. Leonardo is losing it because Rudyard's replacement may be worse than he is. (and because Marie is obsessed with Katzereine)

3. Caroline is also losing it because she doesn't know how to deal with hospitals, sickness, and death.

4. Kyle has disappeared... and not alone

5. I can't find her anywhere.

6. Ashley is taking over as Student Council President until Giovanni recovers.

7. Caterina and Veronique are driving me insane. >>

8. I'll kill gossip guy. I swear.

9. This morning, I got a phone call... and it's not good news. It's possibly the worst news I could've received in the worst possible moment. It has to do with Giovanni's speeding. However, it's just a possibility. I won't even think about it... for now.

Electric

I'm back home now. I have her cel phone... with all her cel phone contacts. I'm looking at it and I'm thinking about her. How did I get it? We were betting.

Actually. I just read her blog. She really DOES have a good poker hand. It's amazing. I might even take her with me to Vegas.

A lot of things happened this weekend. I got to know her, even if a little bit better. And then there were atmospheric 'accidents' everywhere. I had never thought things could be quite so interesting. There was lightning all around, darkness surrounding the whole place; a complete blackout. The candles would suddenly blow out and there was total silence. Suddenly some mariachis appeared from nowhere walking along the harbor into a sea of nothingness. I'd never been more surprised. Literally, my jaw dropped. Oh boy! Getting out of there! That was entertaining. We had my mobile's light and suddenly she stops to look at the stars; even if we were in the darkest place, worst hour, lonely as it could be. Incredible.

She surprised me. She can be so adoringly cute when she wants to. It's quite "SHOCKING".

I think I'll change the name of this journal: Lightningrod.blogspot.com (lighting rod= medieval weapon)

UGH. Caterina and Ashley stole Julian's car. That was great for them. We could hear them giggling, running through the blackout as they got to it and left in a rush. I'll be praying for them.

Actually, I'll only pray for Caterina... While Katzereine and I were talking in the kitchen, Miss "I'm a fucking sex addict" and her boyfriend, Mr "I'm a fucking sex addict too", started doing things you're not supposed to do in front of people you actually care about, save you want to traumatize them. They can both shove their happy sex lives up their asses (though they're shoving ENOUGH if you know what I mean). She better enjoy it with the few hours of life she's got left. We actually calculated they do it twice (2.5) times every hour. Really.

There's this thing going on in my head. I can't stop thinking about her. I can't stop thinking about how happy she gets when she wins and how angry when she loses. I can't stop thinking about how everything turned out.

I want the opportunity. I want to hold her and show her what I'm capable of.

Well, for now, she has to be my personal assistant for a week. You see, you should never gamble with Eric Delton.
... she learned that only a tad bit too late.

The Scarlet Mark

I woke up late this morning. Luckily, it was one of my free days, where I get to just sleep and relax. After all, I was out all night partying (got drunk out of my mind too). Once I got home, I fell on the bed, clothing on, lights blazing, television on ESPN with the lastest news of the Euro Cup, etc.

Then I accessed my computer and noticed some of my people had updated their blogs. I'm new into this writing business. Sometimes, it's troublesome having to choose the 'right' words. I'm the kind of guy that says stuff to people: face to face. It's much easier. When I write, I don't worry about repeated words or 'wrong punctuation use'. I just say what I think. I'm practical. I'm a number man more than a word man, but have one word too many when needed in an oral argument ( ;) Let's just say words never fail me)

So there's a lot of news going on around.

I read the Ophelia's update (and i'm not putting 'her' and LINKING it, cause it's already too used! I bet no one has used OPHELIA before! HA! That's the DELTON originality. AHEM.) <-- That aside.

I want to talk with her, though she's not talking to me for some unknown reason. I read her post and I had a desire to just hold her in my arms, and not out of pity, mind you... that type of women aren't meant to be pitied; but because she seemed so very dear to me as I read what she thought. How loneliness can be so very scary, and how we thrive to be loved and be in the company of another. What is real fear? How do we control it? How do we apply the inevitable phrase of "fear nothing but fear itself"? Can we be that strong? Can we keep fighting even if we're left by the person we love the most?
Ah... Katzereine. She reminds me of the song 'Blackbird':

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly All your life; you were only waiting for this moment to arise"

Walking by oneself... can be awfully alone. Yet, I think... there's always someone watching, someone caring for you. If you didn't have at least one person by your side, then you'd be some kind of monster, and the pain would never be able to go. And you need other people if you want to grow, if you want to make something out of yourself. Then again, Giovanni's right too. It's not about 'if'. It's about wanting and desiring and healing yourself and walking, walking... playing, going for it. It's building up the adrenaline until you've finally reached your goal. And it's okay to be scared, it's okay if you don't know if you'll make it. You don't always have to know where you're kicking the ball. Sometimes they'll jump at you from anywhere, sometimes you become the only player in your team, but you have to keep yourself focused. You want to run, you want to make it, you want to find yourself. The moment you have that inside you, strategy and mistakes combine into making you the lead position of the team.

I don't think men are naturally evil. Maybe that makes me naive, but I don't believe in it. I think that hurting someone while trying to achieve something for yourself is something that's to be forgiven. It's not our fault that we're not perfect. It's not our fault that we have to fight our way towards decency. It's just human nature to hurt and be hurt, but that's the only way that we learn and it's fine. You don't mean to do so. Those who love you will understand. They'll be rewarded with the person you'll become, with the fulfilling of your personal encounter with the true you. It's fine. What matters is that you thrive... that you don't lose to the unknown because you're afraid.

Try it out. Try everything out. Who's there to stop you? Who wants to stop you? Blackbird, go ahead, fly, unafraid, free... if only for once escape the prison of your mind and surpass yourself. Do the wrong thing, do the right thing... LIVE. The rest doesn't matter if you're growing, if you're experimenting. We're naturally curious beings and isn't experimenting part of the package? I want to protect you, blackbird. I want to hear you sing without restraints, without worries, like you were naturally born, like we all were. If you can do that... it's okay with me.

It will all return, it will all be well, we just have to live and let others live. There are no finales, there are various new types of beginnings and changes, and only when we've breathed the last breath, it will be the end, and only that is final. Get it, Blackbird? Fly, unstopped. Your rights are there. Let the world behind you, find what you're looking for. You'll always have a nest to which return. Create a little nest for yourself, though, placing one small twig at a time. You'll be fine. No one's gonna hurt you, you won't hurt, because you're free blackbird. While you are, everything is possible.

No one's totally alone. I can't believe that. We all have someone, even if that someone is far away or present in a way we don't notice until much later. I believe in that. I believe in friendship and expanding that friendship and finding light in shadow!

I'M A BELIEVEEEEER!!! (<-- I was bound to drop off the serious boat XD)

On another note entirely...

XD I gave Marie a chocolate cake as an offering of peace (which is stupid, because she's a chef), but I figured food and chocolate keeps the world united!! :D She accepted my apologies!! I'm very greateful! Thank youuuu! :D You are one cute muffin (my stupid cousin might not be TASTELESS after all).
Linnette (Ashley's crazy friend), adviced me to take a look at the Naruto manga. Now I'm addicted. Damn it, Naruto is so cool. YEAH! That's MY WAAAAAY of ninja!

The World According to Me

I'm into a large variety of flavors lately. They're telling me "enjoy youth", "get to know yourself", "play around", "High school, I learned everything I know about sex in High School!"

I think these people are right. You have to enjoy a bit of coffee, but enjoy the milk as well! I'm friend to all, hopefully holding as few grudges as possible. WHY even bother being angry?

If you feel disappointed and lacking in love... (not that it's happened to me)
... TAKE A CHILL PILL AND CHILL

If life hits you where it hurts and you're being swallowed by your own darknes...
... TAKE A CHILL PILL AND CHILL

If people bug you or annoy you...
... TAKE A CHILL PILL AND CHILL

BECAUSE, there's no better thing than just living life for the heck of it and being happy. I, for once, take my jet, play some soccer, fuck around, and I live peacefully. I have no ambitions (well except becoming the CEO of Delton Industries when I graduate college). I'm an easily satisfied man with many appetites to fullfill.

Anyways. I'm currently surrounded by a lot of people, who are very dear to me (most of them). However, I have no time to describe them, so I'll just write a sentence about each. :D

1. Richard: A royal pain. xD

2. Katzereine: The beautiful, sexy, smart, hot, enchanting, siren.

3. Caterina: The wildest cat I'll ever meet; watch out with those claws kitty.

4. Veronique: aaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAA!!! (there there precious, don't get too mad)

5. Kyle: THE LIGHTS ARE OUT, KYLE, SMILE! (I love you man, jk jk)

6. Nathan: High Tide. (wheeeee)

7. Marie: "I'll bake the greatest muffins! LEO, hand me your eggs!"

8. Leo: Egg donor XD HAHAHAHA

9. Rink: <--- french (self-explained)

10. Ashley: "OH! LOOK! BANANA!" <-- (we know she likes it french-styled XD HAHA)

11. Giovanni: "I'll make you an offer you can't refuse"

12. Michelangelo: "I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think that they'd understand" (and WE don't, dude)

13. Julian: Puppymaster (WUFF! xD HAHAHA)

14. Lucille: Blood-related

15. Carol: (I'm sorry, baby, that you're the last but I'll make it good) *takes deep breath* Theeeee sexy, carrot-topped, intelligent-babe, blue-eyed, mamaaaaa.

If I'm fogetting someone, it's not that you're not important, it's just that I'm not thinking about you right now. And if you feel offended by this post....

... TAKE A CHILL PILL AND CHILLLLLL!

Family Trouble

My family’s still half buried in the 16th century. They still know nothing of the Renaissance period and they’re somewhere between “Yes, America DOES exist” and “I’ll chop your head off if you should do something I don’t like”.

I love them, nonetheless, because it’s family after all. It’s pretty big and we’re a lot of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents… they’re mixed in there somewhere.

What characterizes the Deltons beyond anything else is the empire itself. My ancestors were European merchants, who decided to invest in the New World. As great plantation owners around America and landowners in Europe, they eventually decided to move everything they had towards the new land. They might have great cultural standings and beliefs, but they adapted to the times and made right investments in the right economical sectors and eventually we all made it to the 21st century. Now my family owns one of the greatest companies of them all: Delton Industries. With many branches around the world, the company produces some of the most technologically advanced gadgets in the land. Actually, it’s divided in two:

1. The largest part of the company is focused on chips development, technology advancement and experimentation-directed engineering. The most advanced scientists, mechanics and engineer experts work for us. We have strategic contacts with Japan’s greatest companies and we have exclusivity agreements with some of the world’s greatest industries.

2. The other part of the company, still attached with our origins, is constantly working towards the stock markets and the buying and selling of other companies; mergers in principle, or pirates (we destroy the little boats, take the profits and build fleets, benefiting out of it) as I like to call ourselves.

The CEO of Delton Industries has always been a Delton, and if God so permits, it will always be a Delton. It’s our grandest tradition, and the one we try to protect the most. Even though it’s discriminating, only the eldest male Delton of every generation can take this position. Never has it been even considered that it could be any other way. Actually, the child destined to become the ‘family leader’ is trained in math, economics and stocks since a very tender age.

I… am the first exception.

I’m not the eldest male child from my generation; my cousin, Leonardo Patrick Delton, is. However, through an ironic trick of nature, Leo didn’t accept this position. Ever since very young, he separated completely from the tradition and refused to do as he was told. Because of it, he rapidly became a thorn in the family’s ass. No one wanted anything to do with him and he gradually withdrew from the rest of us.

Leo and I don’t get along. The conflict itself is born from a childish feud between us both. Eventually, there was more…

Though we pretty much grew together, Leo and I were completely different. I’ll admit. I was completely spoiled. Leo’s father, although the eldest of the family, was quite serious; he was respected but not loved. My dad was adored; grandpa’s favorite. As such, when I was born, I was naturally spoiled. I guess Leo got all the pressure… all the family demands… On the other hand, I received everything I wanted, without limit.

That justifies our views about the Family, I guess. I think family is everything. When I think about the Deltons, I know that is my home. I realize I have a responsibility towards them and I want to make sure I make everyone proud. Leo, however, kept his distance.

I don’t hate my cousin. I just don’t share his views. Sometimes it’s hard to meet him halfway. Alright. I don’t like him as a person. His way of treating the family, all in all, I find disturbing and incorrect.

Then again… I have to admit my grandmother is horrible as a family leader. Her taking over is the worst thing that could’ve happened. It’s obvious I don’t agree with her stupidity in taking away all of Leonardo’s money. He IS family after all. Actually, returning to my original point, I don’t like what he’s going through. I thought they’d been kidding when they told me what they had done. Taking away his income? What is rightfully his? I am ever on the side of justice and this is unfair!

Grandma is the leader now, but she won’t always be. When I graduate from college, Delton Industries will be mine. As the future leader of the Delton family I have an obligation to every one of its members, even if I don’t personally like him. I know he’s moving in with Katzereine and Marie, but I nonetheless had a slight chat with him recently…

“You can move in with me, if you want.” I told him, going into the infirmary, where he works.

“And then what? We’d kill each other and I’d be in prison?” he quirked an eyebrow, taking off those nerdy glasses of him and looking at me. “So I’d be broke AND in prison!”

“Here I am… trying to be nice, trying to be understanding… and you’re such an ungrateful son of a…”

“I don’t want your understanding and your caring.” He stood up and for some mysterious reason he was furious. “I’ll tell you what I want. I want the fucking Delton family giving me some space. I don’t care if you’re the future leader of the family and for some godforsaken reason you’ve taken it upon you to reunite us all… I don’t need it.”

I remained silent. I’m not patient. I’ve never been.

I punched him.

After some blows, where we both ended up bruised and in the floor he handed me a towel to clean the blood from my broken lip. He walked towards the mini fridge taking a bag of ice and placing it in his black eye.

“I’m not like you, Eric.”

I raised my view and stared at him. He was quite serious.

“I’m not like you and I won’t ever be like you. The way you are… I don’t think of family as a priority.”

I cleared the blood away. “Yet you want to be a doctor. You want to take care of the rest. How can you expect to take care of strangers, if you don’t even care for your family!” I stood up.

“That’s the point, jerk head.” Leo threw me the ice bag now “I see the Deltons as strangers. They’re no different than the rest of the world.”

There was no discussing with him. I took a folder from under my coat and left it on the infirmary’s desk. “Here’s all the information I could get about your money, where it’s being kept and when you’ll be able to use it. I found out you can at least receive 200 dollars each month if you go the bank personally and show your student ID. If you draw the money out and deposit it somewhere else, with a defined interest rate, you’ll eventually be able to save up something.” With that I turned to leave.

“Asshole.” Leo muttered behind me while I angrily stepped away, as I was opening the door, I heard his voice again. “It doesn’t mean I think you’ll be anything but successful as the next leader of the Delton family.”

I turned to see him placing the folder inside his coat. “If Grandma finds out you helped me, she’ll have your head.” He half smiled.

“She better not find it… or I’ll really kill you, you piece of shit.” I smiled back at him.

Going out of the infirmary, I also smiled to myself. Bleh… I hated the bastard, but then again… FAMILY was FAMILY.
